Employee Spotlight: Matt May

Introducing Matt May, LeapPoint Integration Architect whose main goal is to help our clients get the most out of their technology stack. When he’s not designing and creating automations for our customers, Matt channels his creative writing as well as explores the breathtaking Arizona landscape with his wife.

How would you summarize what you do at LeapPoint?

I help our clients make their technology work smarter, not harder. Sometimes that means designing & building smarter processes and automations for a platform like Adobe Workfront to streamline operations. Other times, it means constructing the digital bridges that allow different systems to communicate seamlessly with each other. Most of the time, it’s a mix of both. My ultimate goal is always to solve problems, create efficiencies, and help people get the most value from their technology stack.

Which company values resonate with you the most?

“People First” definitely resonates the most and was a major factor in deciding to join LeapPoint. So many organizations claim this but often their actions don’t support it. But it’s not just a phrase here for optics — I see it in action every day in how leadership trusts and empowers us. It’s also reflected in the focus on creating a healthy work-life balance, so we can continue to do our best work. Everyone is trusted to “Deliver Excellence” in finding the best solution, not simply the easiest one, which sets us apart. There’s a collective drive here to do great work, and that starts with putting “People First” as the foundation.

What motivates you?

I’m motivated by having the opportunities to creatively solve puzzles every day. Every client has a unique set of challenges, and I love the process of digging in, understanding their needs, and designing a solution that not only works but makes their jobs easier and more efficient. Seeing that ‘aha!’ moment for the client when their technology finally starts working for them instead of against them is incredibly rewarding. That’s the real win! Beyond the technical challenge, I’m also motivated by the team here. Working alongside people who are so talented, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they do always pushes me to learn and grow.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

My passion outside of work is exploration, both in the real world and in my imagination. My wife and I love hiking the incredible Arizona landscape where we live (except in the summer!) and traveling to experience unique places and cultures around the world. I also channel that spirit of exploration into my personal outlet of creative writing. There’s something special about the process of building new worlds and bringing characters to life from a blank page. It’s the perfect mix of architecture, exploration, and problem solving – and sometimes a bit of self-reflection and therapy for good measure!
